I wrote it years ago. And its’ meaning to me has changed over time. It’s funny how when you write something, you’re inspired by a certain event in your life. But years later, when you perform it or record it, those events don’t seem that relevant to you anymore. You’re in a new mindset and a whole new chapter of your life. Yet you still relate to what you wrote. You wrote those words, and those words have sunken their teeth into you. Devoured you. And ultimately became a part of you. No matter what you do, no matter where you are, you find solace in your art.
